Rinsing the nose with gargle

Nasal wash

You can use a net container or special bottles made for this purpose to clean the nasal cavities from thick mucus and pollutants.

Salt water solution can also be used.

The water used must be distilled and sterile, previously boiled or filtered to remove particles.

What is meant by rinsing the nose with saline solution?

With this type of treatment, the nostrils are washed. That is, the mucous surfaces inside the nose are washed with saline (salt and water solution).

You can do this at home to help relieve sinus problems such as stuffy or runny nose.

How is this done? You can do this by using a special container for the nose, which is also known as powar, and a package containing saline powder. You can get these things from the pharmacy.

To use a special container for the nose, follow these tips:

Mix the solution:

To prepare salt water, mix 100 cc of lukewarm water with the amount recommended on the saline powder package and pour the solution into the container.

Keep the special container as shown. Lean on the sink so you can see the bowl. Turn your head slowly to one side and slowly move the tube to the upper part of the nose so that it is easily inserted into the nasal cavity. Do not push the tube into the middle part (blade) of the nose. Press the povar.

By squeezing this povar, the solution is poured into the upper part of your nose. Make sure you can breathe easily through your mouth. This solution immediately flows out of the other nostril. (Same as the figure). When the container is empty, breathe through both nostrils to expel excess saline and nasal congestion. Gently wipe the nose on a clean tissue. Then repeat this for the other nostril. It is good to know that there are different types of spray bottles and nose washes.
