Diaper dermatitis or diaper rash is a type of skin damage that affects the groin area, under the stomach, upper thighs and buttocks.
Diaper rash includes many skin abnormalities that affect babies, children, and paralyzed and immobile people.
This condition is more common in infants and children under 2 years old.
This condition starts in the first month or two of the child’s birth and often continues until the child no longer wears diapers.
Diaper dermatitis may be annoying or difficult to treat if it becomes infected or the person is allergic to the drugs used in the treatment.
