10 commandments to avoid allergies to cosmetics

1- Close the cans: After using your cosmetics, close the cans tightly. Never leave cream powders, pancakes and shadows on the dressing table with the doors open.
2- Wash your hands: before applying makeup, wash your hands with soap and water well. Clean hands bring less germs to the skin of your face.
3- Don’t lend: makeup is a completely personal item, like a toothbrush and comb, so don’t lend your makeup to anyone. Using mascara and shadow and even joint cream powder may cause skin sensitivity.
4- Make-up is prohibited: if you are allergic to a shadow or mascara or any other cosmetic, leave it aside and do not use other cosmetics until the allergy symptoms are completely removed.
5- Put away the old ones: take a look at your old cosmetics. Discard those that have become old and discolored over time and have expired.
6-Use fragrance-free products: It is better to use cosmetics that are fragrance-free. Perfumed cosmetics often cause skin sensitivity.
7- Look at your eyes sometimes: if your eyes are red or if your eyelids are swollen and red, do not use eye shadow because these extreme cosmetics will aggravate the sensitivity of your eyes and eyelids.
8- Keep away from the sun: It is better to keep your cosmetics and accessories away from sunlight, so if the sun falls on your dressing table, collect your cosmetics and accessories from it. Sun rays cause chemical changes in cosmetics and you may be allergic to these new ingredients.
9- Keep sprays away from heat: Keep the cans of hair sprays, antiperspirants, and even perfumes away from sunlight, heaters, or other heat sources. Heat can cause these cans to explode, and at the same time, these products become allergenic as the chemicals change.
10- Pay attention to the label of the Ministry of Health: The director general of supervision of food and cosmetics of the Ministry of Health has announced that for the entry of any cosmetic into the country, the registration of the foreign manufacturing company and the Ministry of Health is required. Dr. Hedayat Hosseini says: “When buying these products, pay attention to the import health license label of these products.” You can find these labels in white with Persian writing in black on the back of cosmetic products licensed by the Ministry of Health.

How to prevent allergies to cosmetics?

Pay attention to the composition of cosmetics. The lower the amount of elements used in it, the less likely you will be allergic. Test the product on a small part of the skin (for example, a small part of the elbow). Wait between 48 and 72 hours. If you notice itching, redness, swelling and burning in the applied area, do not use that product. Try to apply perfumes on clothes. In this way, the possibility of skin sensitivity is reduced. It also reduces the risk of possible combination with other substances, which will result in less sensitivity for the person. Even if words such as “anti-allergenic”, “anti-irritant” etc. are written on the product, there is no guarantee that the product will be kind to your skin. Some of these companies test the products and others release the product without testing. There is no law for writing on products
