Tips of using sprays

How to use the spray correctly

Sprays are used through the mouth or nose. For each method, the recommended instructions must be followed carefully.

Use of oral sprays

Before using the spray, it is better to wash the inside of the mouth with water to clean the mouth area from food particles or foreign substances.
In this way, the possibility of these particles entering the pharynx and larynx during breathing is eliminated.

  • Remove the mouth guard cap and shake the spray vigorously.
  • Hold the spray in its proper position, i.e. upside down and upright.
  • With a deep exhalation, remove the maximum amount of air from your chest (of course, without causing severe shortness of breath) so that you can take a deep breath afterwards.
  • Put the mouth of the spray in your mouth, close your lips tightly around it so that air does not enter your mouth from another way.
  • Take a deep breath and apply the spray at the same time.
It is important to press the spray just once at the moment you start breathing so that the medicine penetrates deep into the lungs along with inhaled air.
  • Take the spray out of your mouth and hold your breath for at least 10 seconds or as many times as you can (for example, count in your mind: one thousand and one, one thousand and two… and one thousand and ten).
  • Finally, exhale slowly and begin normal breathing.
  • Wait at least one minute if you need to use it again.
  • After use, put the mouth cover back to prevent dust from entering.

Use of nasal spray

  • Usually only nasal decongestants are used this way.
  • It is better to clean the nasal passages well before using the spray.
  • Separate the spray tank from the protective body and connect the plastic for nasal use to it.
  • Follow the steps of shaking and observing the situation according to the previous instructions.
  • Place the nasal plastic inside the nostril and keep the tank as vertical as possible.
  • Hold the breath in the chest and without breathing, press the spray firmly.
  • If necessary, repeat the same operation for the other nose. When using the spray through the nose, you should not breathe.
  • If you need to use it again, wait at least one minute.
  • To clean the nose plastic, remove it from the tank, wash it with lukewarm water and soap and dry it carefully.

Important points:

To use medicinal sprays, remember the following points:

  3. Practice in front of the mirror the first few times.
If the vapor (particles) comes out from the top of the spray and around your mouth, it means that your usage method is not correct and you should start again from the previous step (shaking the spray).
  4. Some inhalation sprays are effective during acute attacks of shortness of breath, but others require at least a few hours or a few days for their effect to appear, so use medicinal sprays with the doctor’s opinion and use medicine arbitrarily and Just because it is not known to use as a spray.
